This is my first attempt at Bisley grips. Fairly happy with them. Very pretty wood.

Sorry forgot to say what it was. Birdseye maple. The seller called it roasted maple because of the darker color.
 
Very nice work. I have tried twice to make grips; one set for a 1911 and one for a SBH. The 1911s were serviceable but the SBH's looked like "hammered butt" as my old buddy J.D. used to say.
