I have a single six Vaquero 32 mag and just got a reloading kit and started reloading for it.
I used:
Alliant Green dot (is what i could find locally)
Federal small pistol magnum primers (is what i could find locally)
Missouri Bullet Company bullets 100gr. 0.313" dia.
These is what came from first test.
All fired from 25 yards, two handed, sitting, resting trigger guard on sand bag.
With 3gr of Green dot, about 3" group
With 3.2gr of Green dot, about 1" group (if you don't take the one on left)
With 3.5gr of Green dot, about 2" group
I think i found a sweet spot with 3.2gr of Green dot
One thing i noticed is was getting a lot of fine dust after each shot. At the end (about 50 rounds) all cylinder and around the rear sight notch were covered with this dust. I didn't had it when using factory ammo. Am i doing something wrong? or is just the way Green dot works?
thanks for your input.
