I can see the little black spots on my shiirt, the wall, my workbench, the floor, my glasses, and everywhere else a rotating brush can throw dirt. Think I will stick with what has worked for me for years.

Here's hoping no one here ever gets RA or nerve damage that impairs their ability to grasp and reciprocate a brush. Or pick up and hold small parts. Then one of these little miracles would make perfect sense.

If I can't grasp a brush I'll probably have problems holding a gun too.

I have a significant number of power tools of various sorts, large and small, and one thing they are all good at: They allow you to screw something up really, really fast.

I kind of like the idea...

For you 'na-sayers'... you know there was a time when if you needed to drill a hole you used one of these:

I still use one of those for certain wood drilling tasks, and they can be faster than a power drill with the right bit. :)

Guess I'll be the odd man out. An electric toothbrush, in a gun, sometimes will clean nooks and crannies where there's no room to scrub with a "manual" brush.

I've cleaned a lot of guns over many decades. If there's a way to do a better job, I'll listen to the idea before I'll put others down for it. I didn't say an easier job. I said a better job.

In the trades, I use power tools often. Guess I'm just lazy. I use power equipment on my yard, too. My neighbors make fun of my yard equipment. But of course, most of my neighbors don't mow at all.

My Dad worked in a lumber yard and was a gifted carpenter and cabinet maker. He would often take on jobs for extra money, and long into the night I remember him sawing and tinkering in the basement. He cut everything by hand, and drilled everything by hand. He used planes extensively. This was in the early fifties, and I remember when he bought his first electric drill and circular saw. Didn't make his work any easier, but it did allow him to produce more projects. I imagine the old guys laughed at him too for using power tools.

Are people really that lazy ?

I hope that was a rhetorical question.... :)

Yeah, seriously.... :)

I'll just stick with the same method I've used ever since I bought my first hand gun.. The "manual" way.. It has never needed batteries, and works very well, thank you very much.. What has happened to people today, that they are afraid of a little elbow grease or effort? I've always considered it fun and relaxing to take apart a filthy firearm and make it clean.. It's a pride thing.. I enjoy it..

I am with Wayno on this one, an old rechargeable round headed toothbrush cleans spots where you cannot a regular brush in and clean with strokes because of the angle etc....I wouldn't probably ever have spent the money to buy one but it works slick..

I just take my teeth out and drop them in a glass with a polident pill to clean them.
