First Ruger Revolver

Well I got my first Ruger revolver yesterday. Its a Super Redhawk in 44mag 91/4" barrel addorned with a Leupold M8-4x EER scope both in the SS finish. I have a couple of questions about it
Year it was made ser# start 550-#####
and it has a couple of scuff marks on the barrel is there a scotchbright
type of pad that can be used to massage them out or any other trick

Cool thanks its a first year mdl. Shot it today runs like a dream
lots of fun It kept a 6" patern at 25y with range shop reloads
better loads and more time in my hand and it will shoot much better
groops

For the finish, I find that a "worn out" (well used) green one works great.
