A few weeks ago I bought my SR9c and imediately took it to the range. Fired off my first 50 or so rounds with no problems and a huge smile on my face. I reloaded my magazine, not sure if it was the 10 or 17, but when I went to pull the trigger nothing happened. I couldnt get the trigger to move at all. I then ejected the round onto the counter and tried again, this time it fired. No problems the rest of the time. Ended up going through about 100 rounds. Just wondering what would cause this. I am fairly new to the handgun world. Could I have rode the slide and not let the round be fully chambered?

Ruger has said some of the newer ones (and one of ours) have a trigger reset issue.

My wife had a similar problem with hers; it just didn't cycle properly. It was intermittent but when you know something isn't right...

I called Ruger, they knew exactly what was going on and fixed it in less than a week.

Hers has a 333-21 serial number. Mine, which has been flawless from the first shot, has a 332-38 serial.

With the trigger reset issue will the trigger be in the ready position or stay in the fired position. Mine seemed to be in the ready position.

Beard, just wanted to let you know I had to send my SR40c for the front pin walking out when firing. Anyway from the time it arrived to the time its been shipped back (got the email that its on the way) was only 8 days.

My point being if it needs to go back don't worry about not seeing it for months, they seem to be very on the ball at Ruger at the moment. Just throwing that out there.
