Fireworks Display - California Style

Fireworks are pretty much illegal here. But we have some of the best amateur displays.
Now the government types rage on and on about how dangerous it is for citizens to have fireworks. When they do I always point out that the worst fireworks disaster was caused by the LAPD Bomb Squad.
Oh, and there are still folks trying to recover from the actions of "experts".

Unfortunately most people are too ignorant, unprepared, and careless to use fireworks safely - usually mind altering chemicals are also involved. The real problem is that the consequences extend beyond the above fireworks users.
I stay home on the 4th to protect my home from the criminally incompetent and uncaring.
