Anyone have any experience with these? They are promoted as made with state of the art machinery and components.
 
The only experience with Fiocchi primers I have is somewhat dated. About 12 years ago I picked up a 1000 LP primers and used them.
Well, most of them.

The fired well, produced decently accurate loads, but the cups were too hard or something. At any rate they cracked around the edges and left burn marks on the breach face of two of my revolvers.

When I found this I tossed the rest in the burn barrel.

Again, that is the only experience I have with them.

Most likely. Since that first batch I haven't seen any more for sale, so I haven't tried any more.

The strange thing is, the standard pressure .45 Colt rounds fared far worse with the cracking around the corner of the primer.
But the heavier pressure from the .45 ACP didn't cause any little cracks. It made no sense to me then, and still doesn't.

I can't vouch for the metallic primers....but I have about 5,000 209 shotgun
primers...and they are very good....never a problem...nor have I ever had a problem with any Fiocchi ammo.
 
I have a couple thousand of their SP primers on hand. Started with about 8K. I've used them in .40 S&W, .38 Spl, .357 mag and .32 H&R mag with no problems. I got these at Gander Mountain several years ago. They were on close out for a very good price. I figured if anything they were good enough for plinkin' loads. And they are. 8)
 
Hi,

Have used many of their shotshell primers (#616--209 size) which worked as well as the Winchesters I've used more than any others.

Haven't used any rifle or pistol primers from the company, though.
