I just finished wrapping my wife's presents. It's all I need to purchase because she buys for all the kids/grandkid and loves to shop. I just provide the $$ an let her go. I have one more package on the way from Amazon but I call it DONE! Dollar store is awesome! Bunch of lotto scratchers fill the sock. We have been married over 33 years and she just buys some things she wants and I wrap it up. I tell her what I want; usually buy it myself/as we do all year long; and it's just a show for the kids/grandkid.

I'm sitting in my home office full of wrapped packages, stocking stuffers, etc. she spent several hours doing. This has to be the earliest I've ever finished my shopping in years. I usually have packages delivered within a few days of the 25th and claim 'they must be delayed' from shipping.

Happy Holidays to all the Ruger People out there and hope your time is spent celebrating with your family's however you do.

Stay Strong!
Mike

I also only shop for my wife. It’s difficult to find something to get.

A friend of mine in the same situation said it’s easy. I go to the spa and buy a gift certificate to give her.

I looked at him and asked what is the point in that? If my wife goes to the spa she just puts it on the credit card for me to pay. He replied then that’s her present. I said why would she want something she already gets? We went round and round until I realized he and his wife have separate finances. 😂.

Our finances are together and we buy whatever we want for ourselves or the house.

In the end the only thing I can think of is a box of chocolates and lottery tickets.

Seems lame. But I don’t have anything better.

My wife and I pretty much buy what we want thru the year . We take care of our granddaughter big time on Christmas . Yeah , we have her spoiled. . Merry Christmas all you Ruger guys 🎅 🤶

I do almost all of the shopping. I get most of it done between Halloween and Thanksgiving. There is no room under the tree. I went overboard this year.

Same, my wife ships for everyone and I shop for her. I also get lotto scratch offs for stockings. I usually go out one night and check out the crowds and see if I find anything exciting.
Online shopping is great but I do like to go look occasionally.

Well, first off, I shop all year long. If I hear someone I will buy for mention wanting something,, I take note. Then I seek it out. Or,, I will listen to ideas & figure out things they will enjoy. I also buy well ahead of the "season" to avoid the crap & rush etc. Plus,, it's deer season & I do NOT need any more things to keep me out of the woods.
My wife buys much of the stuff for the family,, but often with my input & such. And I do pay for my share of that.
There aren't any "little kids" in the family right now, & none on the horizon. But we still enjoy the family get-together & celebrating Christmas & swapping presents.
But I was mostly done 2 months ago.

I never know what to get for anybody so my granddaughter gives me suggestions. So I thought I had everything and then granddaughter told me this afternoon for her present I can buy her this quilt from Cracker Barrel.

I give cash for that.

I do that for my shop guys. Pay attention and take notes all year on what they are borrowing from me or others. This coming Friday is my shop Santa day. I actually start my shopping year by buying their stuff.

We don't 'do presents' anymore since the kids are all grown. We do have a 'grab bag' with trinkets and gag gifts which is hilarious at times.
Last year we put a new twist on the grab bag-- we drew random names from a hat and picked for that person (anonymously). That got really funny when the actual recipients were revealed.:D;)

I have two daughters and one of two sons nearby. They tell me what I am getting for others and then get whatever they have decided...I just pay. We do a 'secret Santa' each year as the family is HUGE and everyone would need a loan to buy for all. It is Linda and I, plus 18 more that gather together at one daughter's HUGE garage. More floor space than my house. Has heated floors.

Besides ourselves, we have 8 in my immediate family (3 kids, 3 grandkids, 2 DILs).
I give my wife one present, she does one for me.
This year it’ll be just one present for each family member to open, plus several little stocking stuffer doodads & candy.
Then each of them will get a card with $500 cash to buy what they really want or need.
We are too old to get out and physically shop with all the big mobs.
