I finally got around to upgrading my SP-101, I added a red small wonder front sight (I got mine pre-drilled), a pair of English walnut inserts from Chigs grips and I swapped out the mainspring with a 10 pounder from Wolff. I am hoping to get to the range this weekend to give it a run through.

Looks good, the wood inserts look so much better than the plastic panels that are stock on the SP.

Looks very nice. You did not mention shims. Probably a .005 on the hammer, a .003 on each side of the trigger, and you may need to check with a feeler gage on the Hammer Dog. I used a .005 on the 2.25 my brother has.

Altamont Letts style fancy grips with Fish Scale inserts. The inserts did not come without the fancy rubber. I used the same Red Little Wonder sight. It also has springs and shims.

The 3 Inch I am wearing as I type this. This is a brand new one with the skelatonized Hammer. The .005 Hammer Dog shims would not fit. I have not reordered so far to get thinner ones. I used the Green Little Wonder sight on this one. Same grips by Altamont.

I really like the SP101's.

Another good thing about them, They reload lightning fast with a belt carried F Model Jet Loader.

Rocky Hill Leather Pancake with a Big Creek SP101 Belt Carrier, holding an F Model Jet Loader.
The Jet Loader for the SP101/J Frame is spring driven like like the ones used in competition, and small enough to carry. I carry one daily left side behind my cell phone.
