I have really been out of touch with the gun and shooting world for several years due to lawyer work and serial moves. I lost a lot of my accessories in my Gun Range Box. Among the accessories lost was a well broken in pair of Past Padded fingerless shooting gloves.
Now that I am retired and have the time for my passion,, I plan to frequent the shooting ranges nearby ...mainly to test two acquisitions in the handgun world namely the Lipsey's 10mm/.40 S&W convertable Blackhawk (KBN 106X ) and the Colt Gold Cup Trophy series made for Talo.

With that lengthy introduction said, I discovered that the Past company does not exist anymore and am looking for a set of reasonably priced fingerless shooting gloves containing padding in the palm of the rt hand glove for a rt handed shooter. Can anyone give me any suggestions based on experience at the range  :?: (especially with magnum caliber handguns. )?
Suggestions comments much appreciated.
Thanx,
Magnum

Boating stores carry Sailing gloves, fingerless well padded to protect your hands while handling wet lines. Inexpensive and make great shooting gloves. Works well with my Super Blackhawk.

Fingerless motorcycle-riding gloves. There are dozens of models on the market, ranging in price from under 20 to 100+ dollars.

"Pro Aim" are supposed to be among the best. I bought a pair of Cabelas after my Past gave up & they will do. They run at least a size smaller than marked, if you happen to mail order. If I could wish, it would be for Past to reappear.

Bike/cycle/weight lifting/mecanix all help as a sub., but usually aren't padded in key places. I have them all.

I have a set of Cabella’s too. No padding but they have a double layer of leather at the web of the thumb. Soft leather and they help to grip heavy recoilers. Not to mention super Blackhawk middle finger bump.

Go to a good motorcycle shop. Buy the best, palm padded gloves they have. Buy soft leather riding gloves. I wear them, swear by them. Plus, keeps finger tips clean?

15-20 years ago i had a Super Blackhawk (i don't have it anymore, i "stupidly sold" it). I was checking out the sporting goods department in a Walmart, and just happened to walk by some weight lifting supplies. They had weight lifting gloves made from neoprene with foam-rubber palm pads, and they were fingerless. Very cheap, but perfect for shooting. I bet they or some other sporting goods store still sells them!

I always buy Delux Shooting gloves. They are reinforced in places that need additional protection (trigger finger pad, hand web). The skin is very thin, and you lose the feeling of a trigger finger, security, and the like.

Got some Pro Aim cut the fingers off, mostly just want the wrist support for my heavy hitters. Just picked up some weight lifter gloves with a real wide wrist band I will try them on my next shooting outing.
