I haven't got to go shoot for the last couple of months. I have been doing some dry fire practice trying not to lose all skill but no live fire. So yesterday I took a friend that is fairly new to handguns & we had a good time.
I have never really been one to try to shoot groups but I thought I'd give it a try yesterday. I shot two 5 round groups on one target with my XD-40 & Ruger P944. While I missed the bullseye with both the size of the groups was better than I expected. The Rugers group was 1 7/8" center to center of farthest holes. The XD was 3 1/4 inches center to center of the farthest due to my pulling a shot the other 4 were 1 7/16" center to center. I don't think I can complain about the accuracy of either of these guns just maybe about the loose nut pulling the trigger. If I ever get the oppurtunity to shoot as often as I like maybe I'll be ready for Rev's challenge one day.
All shots were at 16 yards using a 2 hand hold-modified Weaver (Chapman) stance. Target next post.
