I have sent payment for my 480 super redhawk that I had altered. It should be comming in soon now. I missed out on the 480 alaskans when they were made and haven't come across any for sale. So I had a 7.5" 480 that I sent to have cut down to the alaskan size. I have a 454 alaskan that I really like and also have a 475 linebaugh in a BFR that uses the 480 ruger ammo so I decided to have the super redhawk cut down to what I wanted. I can hardly wait to see it and try it out. Now I have to decide weather I want to leave it the target grey or polish it out to the regular stainless steel finish. I haven't decided yet. I will post pictures as soon as it arives. I had the work done at Performance Gunworks in North Carolina. I have never delt with them before but they have a good webb page and are really nice to deal with. Their price for the job seemed very reasonable and when I talked to Scott the owner he knew exactly what I wanted and seemed very knowledgeable about the job I wanted done. I'm like a kid wating on christmas morning wating for my new toy to arrive. The 454 alaskan is a sweet shooting little gun I can just imagine the 480 in a small package will be very fun to shoot also.
