It's that time of the year again and time for me to reflect on my favorite gun purchase of 2019.

I actually sold more than I bought....by 2. My favorite purchase was a S&W 1950 Target 44 Special. A classic N frame. There were others; S&W 15-4, Single Six Stainless 17HMR, XD9 2.0 Tactical, Kimber Micro9, LCPII and Charter Arms "Boomer" 44 Special. Half of those are gone already......but this is the standout for me.

What is yours?

Dave

For me, actually three. Security Six, GP100 and SP101 all serial number 46 (150-00046, 170-00046, 570-00046). Of course for me the grail is a single digit Security Six.

An Ruger old Army, blue with a 7.5 inch barrel.
Old Army was on my must have bucket list and I bought a 1982 stainless one NIB with all the goodies. Now I'm thinking of finding another. I decided not to shoot it since they are only new once.

I only bought 3 guns this year. Didn't sell any.

But In October after going to Contender's and shooting his 357 Maximum, I was lucky enough to snag one from the classifieds here.

Bought a Canilk SFX and a Vortex Venom red dot. Just got them and haven't even tried it yet.

Even though I found a few really nice scarce Ruger revolvers I'm gonna have to say favorite of the year is a 3/44 Inland made M1 Carbine. Excellent-plus original condition with many original or period correct accessories. Bayo, sling, mag pouches, about a dozen mags, cleaning kit, a few hundred rounds of ammo, etc.

And man oh man what a hoot to shoot! Why on Gods green earth didn't I get one of these years ago??

I sold a couple and added a handful, so I came out on the plus side. :D :D Although I do have a few that need to go. I did add a CZ 457 in 22LR and a Colt Trooper MKIII. The Trooper came with the box and paperwork. The CZ has some nice wood and the Trooper made a nice addition to the few other Colts I have, a Cobra and a Trooper MKV.

From 1Jun19, Garage Sale around the corner.

Unbelievable! a Winchester Model 37A Gold Trigger 12Ga
Break Open Single Shot. $100 it said, snatched it up with
the Fly Rods/Reels.

The significant of the Winchester was that as a young man,
I once had the "Long Tom" version. Traded it off at some
point.

I also sold a few and add 2 S-W mod 29-2 44mag 1- 6 1/2'' blue and a 4'' blue a mod 57 4'' blue with the cases and all paper work. Plus couple marlin lever actions.

Gonna say the single six 17 convertible with a big ol U stamped on it
Nice find! I sure would like to have one of those 17 convertibles, but probably not going to happen with the price they are bringing these days, so I did buy a SS 17 HMR and a Story Mach2 cylinder and made my own convertible. Now I just have to get out and shoot it someday.

Only one, a first generation Charter Arms Off Duty 38spl short barrel.

Won two guns in drawings, SR45, and another I sold then purchased a 742 30-06 w/ scope here! Then locally a Ruger MK II Government blue! Good year, Overloadded

My "Dream Whitetail Rifle", M77 tang-safety in a McMillan ultralight stock with a Douglas no. 1 contour barrel in 257 Roberts. Weighs just a smidge over 6 lbs. Mine, mine, mine!!! :D

A model # 8372 Ruger American Rimfire, 22 LR, Go-Wild camo stock and Bronze Cerakote barrel. Mounted a Nikon 2x7 P-22 Tactical scope in Warne rings.

A NIB Winchester 9422M (.22 Magnum) with attractive wood. I liked it so much that I kept looking; who knows why. 2 weeks later I found another 99%+ no box and nice wood for a great price so I bought it, too. I still look on GB for fun and havn't found another as nice as the 2 I bought back to back. I'll shoot one and probably sell the NIB one :)

Two TLA # 5's in 44 Magnum and a Freedom Arms Model 97 in 44 Special. They all have been pictured here so you know what they look like. Gone a Colt SAA in 44 WCF, a USFA 357 Shooting Master and a USFA 12-22.
