“Enjoying Mt. Ontake all alone,” was the last Twitter entry of a missing Japanese hiker, which was sent one minute before the volcano beneath Japan's Mount Ontake suddenly erupted.

My first thought was that if you're climbing a mountain that's harboring a volcano, and despite its popularity with hikers you're the only one there...that might be what you would call a sign.
Unfortunately, it seems the Twitterer wasn't the only hiker climbing that particular mountain at the time, as according to NHK (at the second link) several other hikers were injured and at least three are believed to be buried under volcanic ash, and presumed dead.
(Note to self: Avoid Japanese mountains.
Actually, given the potential threats of volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, bad sushi and rampaging Godzillas, perhaps I should just avoid Japan altogether... )
