Everybody O.K?

My Sunday School class held its Christmas Party last Saturday (Dec. 9th) and as I was driving, around 2:30 p.m. to it there was a darkness like early evening and angry looking clouds. Brief heavy rain pelted me for a minute or two, but that was about the extent of it. Only on last night's news did I learn of the severe weather and storms east and north of the Memphis area. I saw where Gallatin and Nashville got hit pretty hard with twisters of some magnitude.

So, how about any correspondents here abouts, are y'all O.K.? Any damage or injury to report? Anybody in need of help?

I saw the storm on the WeatherBug App. The storm line stretched from Houston all the way up to Toronto Canada.

It’s just amazing how big it was. Lightening of and on all the way as well.

We got about an inch and a half of rain here in Marxland, but otherwise, we were good.

We had some tornado warnings in our county but none right on us. We did get some heavy rain.

I live in Western NY. Because of all the unfriendly gun stuff and cold weather my son moved south.

He left his truck here last Fall for Hunting Season and it got stuck over Christmas because of our 7 feet of snow. Lots of complaining and comments about how glad he moved.

Same thing this year. He was up with his truck for hunting. Thank God for once in our life his cellphone worked at camp (valley with poor coverage). He got the alert and we drove to a nearby tower so he could call his wife and tell her to get in the closet.

He lives north of Nashville. The house is still standing but the roof is gone and there is no power. Fortunately the house structure stayed intact and my DIL is safe. He got the first flight home and we left camp right away.

Normally I shovel out my driveway in about a half hour. Last year it took me 4 hours and boy was I beat when I got done. Nevertheless, send me all the snow you got. A tornado would simple break my heart. (It just did)

One can't get away from the weather. My wife's brother lived in Florida for amny years, every year having to board up his house against the comong hurricane. So, he moved to Arkansas. Right smack dab in tornado alley. So, he moved once again, to Nevada. Right in time for the wildfires.
