I was surfing youtube the other day for solar panels, battery charges, batteries and inverters so I could set up a hurricane power system for small appliances like radio, fan, lights, etc. Then I came across this video. What can I say? This guy and video is incredible or incredibly stupid. I will let you decide.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_08txT2b0o

btw there is another video with essentially the same hook-up and the guy says it burned out the charger.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh that just made me roar! What a maroon!

Yeah kid... Go right ahead and plug in your microwave and cook up some Dinty Moore beef stew. I wanna watch this. ;)

Youth truly is wasted on the young.

Regards, Pete

I can't decide if the guy was serious, or if he kept a straight face while propagating a hilarious spoof.

I won't comment on the "perpertial motion machine"

However, here is what I am waiting for a home electrical power generator

I'm more inclined to say "idiot" - not even a sound idea as an inverter wastes a lot of power.
That alone will destroy his claims.

I'm pretty sure what is happening is the battery is powering the charger through the inverter, both of which are loads, while some output from the charger is returned to the battery. Eventually the battery will run down (a volt meter would show that) and any appliance plugged in will run the battery down even faster. OH Yeah, he is a genius.

Just because you can do it doesn't mean that you should. :D

Until he plugged in the light he was just recycling the electrons... and eventually it would all run down.... but depending on the amp hours of the battery this could take days... he was not using any energy to run anything other than the inverter and charger.... I had to make a comment .... basically that he needed to go back to smoking what ever it was he was smoking.... I assume the guy at least made it to high school and should have attended at least one physics class.....

Nope - most kids today don't take physics...... "You need all that math and stuff and it's, like, way too hard" (said in a whiney voice)

TANSTAAFL . . . or free power, either, from a closed loop system.

When I was in junior high a couple hundred years ago, we learned this in science class.

Wasn't you ever in the Military ?

Loads of that stuff floats around there.
I wont translate But we have:
DILLIGAF
FIIS
And worse!!

It seems I stepped on his toes with my comment and he replied... here is his first reply:

" did advance physics so yeah what ever kid. I'm more intelligent than you are because I used knowledge to build stuff, unlike you , you use your tardation to talk yugo because that your defense against being so stupid. sorry your a stupid person."

then he made a second reply:

"by the way physics has nothing to do with this your mentally retarded. this is electricity or electrical class. so wow go cry on someone elses video. your pathetic."

I thought about replying but in reality his replies explain more than I ever can.

His grasp of grammar tells me he is something like 12 years old....

. . . and his rather obvious lack of understanding about power consumption would indicate an educational/intelligence level of about that same magnitude.

Forget it. He's a dingbat with troll tendencies.

Let's see if we have a battery to run an electric motor to turn a generator to charge the battery not only would we have an energy loop but we would also have a perpetual motion machine.....right?? :D :D

Nope, because of friction, which gives less power, and less power etc

Please, let's not degrade 12 year olds by comparing this jerk to them. I knew some pretty smart 12 year olds back in the day, and they had a good grasp of English. Also, they would never have talked like that to anyone, much less a stranger.

Hi,

There was a time you could just walk up and punch a retard like that (in a sense of the word totally lost on today's populace and in no way referring to the mentally/developmentally challenged) in the nose, and the worst it got you was a visit to the principal's office. An argument could be made that was a better time...

In retrospect, I should have never 'stepped in his tent'.... his language on the video was enough to tell me what kind of person he was.... but I typed with out thinking and stepped in some of the foul smelling stuff in his tent, of his own making, which just proved to me that I should have never been there in the first place.

I'm not the brightest bulb in the room... but even I understand energy consumption and electricity, to a degree. And I also know that it is physics. Then again, I'm still mesmerized by the 'fact' that matter is neither created nor destroyed....

Hi,

Are you any kind of a bookkeeper, blume? If so, think of matter as a cosmic balance sheet which is constantly shifting the numbers up top, but at the bottom of the page, one side's number is always equal to the other side's, and neither changes.

Now for giggles, we've been told forever the universe has no middle and no edges. Yet there are those theorists who will tell us it's expanding. Now how does it do that? It's logically impossible, which makes me wonder how it's physically possible at the same time. ;)

here is another Genius...
at least this one uses some nice smoke and mirrors to present his infinity machine

I always wanted to ask Carl Saigen when he was explaining the size of the Universe and how it was expanding what exactly was beyond the known universe....

as for matter... here is one of the things I deal with daily .... burning natural gas which is made of hydrogen and carbon and uses oxygen to complete the combustion process.... when you mix these and heat them up they make their own heat by releasing the energy stored in the molecules... but besides heat what also comes out? Two things: Carbon Dioxide (Carbon and Oxygen) and Water (Hydrogen and Oxygen)... you end up with the same elements or matter.

Hi,

Shades of high school chem class and balancing equations, updated! Wish our text book would have had the pretty molecule diagrams as a visual aid to help see and count out what's on each side to help verify the math. ;) Thanks, JFB!

One word describes it all…

en·tro·py
ˈentrəpē/Submit
noun
1.
PHYSICS
a thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system's thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work, often interpreted as the degree of disorder or randomness in the system.
2.
lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.
"a marketplace where entropy reigns supreme"
synonyms: deterioration, degeneration, crumbling, decline, degradation, decomposition, breaking down, collapse

Yeah buddy. That is the physics I grew up with. I have dealt with quantum physics too. There are anomalies, but the anomalies don’t provide useful energy IMO.
