Will the ejector rod housing from a new model work on an old model? Also are all the new model blackhawk one steel?

The ejector rod housings are interchangable, providing you don't have one of the Storekeepers/Sheriffs models with barrels of less than 4 5/8".
As to all New Models having steel housings, not too sure, early ones did have alloy housings.
If you've got one to swap out, fine. If not, I'd recommend buying an aftermarket cam-cut housing. These swing the rod head away from the barrel for ejection.
