Eagle Sambar Stags value

I have seen a variety of asking prices in Classifieds for stags like these. Would you please take a look and give me an opinion on these? They fit my XR3-RED.

In general,,, stags like that sell for $200-$250 average from what I've seen.

that would be 'top dollar' around here, we see Ajax as well as Eagles ( Art Jewel) sell more often in the $150-175 range, wish we could gt $200....................$150 for th e last pair we sold two weeks ago ( got them 'free' on a new model stainless Vaquero, so cannot complain, a deal is a deal) :roll:

Considering the wide price/value swings between different areas of the country, if you're gonna sell them, IMHO the best venue would be an online auction website, where they will get world-wide viewing by potential buyers.

Depending on the thickness of the grips add another $30 or so, well over $200, look at the shine.
I have 5 sets of stag from Eagle for vaqueros. Took 7 months to get 2 matching sets,at the beginning when they were selling at $65
and up for anything I paid $90 a set, the next set of 3 cost me over $110 apiece was for 2 vaqueros one SBH was a bit thicker.
Have 2 stag from ajax for 2 Colt SAA nickel . Turned down $500 at a match for them. Was at loading table, next up, man
walks past, stops, can I touch those, had to say no, were loaded. He waited, told him they were over 25 years old, took a year
to get before the stop. How you say

I very much appreciate stag grips and have several pairs with only one set being maybe Ruger’s. However I think of them as being for SHOW and not for SHOOTING. Thus my preference can be dark with lots of bark.

Animals used for gun grips commonly called stag; European animals are Red deer. India/China animals Sambar deer. USA it is Elk which are also deer. This allows some harvesting by simply picking dropped antlers each season.

On BC Mike’s pair, what might the hole in the base of the left side grip be?

If I remember correctly the RF member Doc has the most beautiful pair of Ruger stags ever made. The “chocolate” pair.

BC Mike your pair is solid and have taken the polishing well, smooth and shinny.

These are Eagle brand stags I recently paid $200.00 for. I splurged and didn't really need them but I wanted them on this near-mint Python. Never had a Python before and never had stags before so ...... ya only live once. :lol:

These are on Eagle's web site at "clearance / discontinued" price of $350.00. They're sure not $350 grips to me but were $200.00.
