Donner summit on the way back

I live in northern CA, and this morning I drove over the "hill" and back to Jack Huntingon's shop in Reno/Sparks to pick up my latest project..........yesterday and the day before, the northern Sierra's got a "light" 8-9" dusting of snow which we desperately need.

Good pic. Got to hear about snow flurries in the air in the Big Horn Basin today also. Here on the Osage it was about 70 and windy with lots of leaves blowin around. No snow in sight

Yes, that is Union Pacific's "transcon" That is actually a concrete tunnel/snow shed for avalanche protection/snow build up
