NHRA Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex Oct 15-18...two miles west of Ennis...34 miles south of Dallas...

Quick and Fast: Last Sunday in PA,Antron Brown ran 3.717 seconds at 328.46 mph in the Top Fuel final round. Distance was 1,000' , no quarter mile for TF and FC since 2008.

It's quite an experience for the senses(use hearing protection). I missed it last year but will try to make it next week.

It ain't loud till you can FEEL it way up in the stands. Over the years I have been to more than a few and always enjoyed watching those, that weren't prepared, squirm when the wall of noise hits them.

Yes,you can feel it too. I'm also glad NHRA moved this race from September back to October.

BINGO!

I love that pounding feeling of the Top Fuel cars.

If you are close enough...like in the pit area behind one under test...it will get to you. In the stands,or even at the fence,I've not felt the burning.

You must be talking degrees of exposure. I can detect it at the starting line fence etc but not nearly as strong as in the pits where you can get blasted. I've not been to Bandimere but have been to Englishtown,Maple Grove,Pomona and the two Texas tracks when they ran National events.

I felt it while eating lunch about 200-300 ft from the lanes during the second round.

The track record in Top Fuel dragster was set in the first round, first pairing. 3.705 seconds at 328.94 mph
