Has anyone sent a Blackhawk off for hard chrome coating? I'm thinking of Mahovsky's Metalife or a similar service.

I know I'd need to disassemble the revolver. Does the firing pin bushing need to be removed as well? Or can it be left in place?

Thanks, Dutch

I sent a blued Vaquero Sheriff Model to them for plating. I live right next to the ocean and, for some reason, this revolver had an ornery inclination to develop rust. The Mahovsky process solved the rust problem and gave me a unique revolver ideally suited for woods excursions. No disassembly required.
