Death Valley Days

I have been binging on the old TV series Death Valley Days which was sponsored by Borax Co. powdered hand washing soap, which I have a container of, by my kitchen sink. However, what I have found interesting is a few of the actors who appeared in some of the shows: James Franciscus (Mr. Novak); James Drury, best known for playing The Virginian; Lynda Carter who played Wonder Woman; Sheb Wooley, no, he did not play the Purple People Eater, appeared as Ben Miller's brother in Gary Cooper's High Noon and acted alongside Clint Eastwood. Dale Robertson of Tales of Wells Fargo who acted and appeared as a host of Death Valley Days, amongst Stanley Andrews, the Old Ranger; Ronald Reagan and Robert Taylor.
As I keep watching I am sure I will run across others...

Just watched Jack Elam on an eps of Death Valley Days. He played a Mexican General during our civil war time period when France invaded Mexico.

It's a good show. When I was a kid I had a model of the 20 mule team and wagons. It's long gone but it was neat.

There is/was a USAF site in Boron. I spent a few weeks filling in for the fireman stationed there when they took leave.

There was a saying "only a moron wants to go to Boron". Pretty much the armpit or California USAF facilities. But the did have an unofficial collection of stuff found nearby. It included several wagon wheels and rims.

I like watching Gunsmoke for the same reason, many up and coming stars during it's run.
