I gave my daughter her graduation present a bit early. She is graduating in May with a degree in Public Relations and Advertising. Its not a Ruger but it is a Charter arms undercover. It has an aluminum frame anodized sky blue with mirror polished barrel, cylinder, trigger guard and hammer. It has a 2 digit serial number also. Charter just released this color model as the "Tiffany". Its similar to their"pink lady" but she doesn't like pink guns. She took it out with +P hollowpoints this Saturday and shot it double action at about 15 ft. keeping all shots rapid fire in a fist sized group. She also shot it Single action at 15 yards keeping all shots on a 8" target cube. I'm giving it to her with a push button security bedside type safebox for her new apt. So far my impression of the Charter Arms is that it works well, it's smooth and seems built well. It is not nearly as solid as a Ruger but it is very lightweight. Seems to be an excellent carry piece and she didn't have any trouble controlling it with the factory somewhat large finger groove grips. We decided not to put the smaller pearl accessory grips on it. Although they would be pretty, they would make it a bit squirrely control wise. She's been shooting since she was 6 or so.

You did well, protoolman! My 3 kids have shot handguns since they were 4 or so. None do now. I have an 11 year old granddaughter that still loves to shoot after 6 years. I hope she continues ...

Excellent. The Charters are inexpensive, well built guns IMO. My children (2 girls and a boy) shot guns from an early age. One girl now doesn't own. The other two own and carry.

The Charter Arms Undercover, has been my 'concealed carry' revolver since it was lawful in Texas , in 1995. I have been very confident and comfortable with it. You made a very good deed for your daughter.

Thanks

Mike
