was asked the other morning if the davidsons GP100 that has a 3 inch barrel, AND adjustable sights is anything "special"?? limited production ??
it is a model #01708 KGP-131

we've seen the fixed sight guns from time to time and the longer adjustable sighted guns...

Thank you !!

Dan,
I think they make the 1708 every now and then for Davidsons but I don't think it is a regular production run. I had to get one :D , so now I have a 3, 4, 5, and 6" GP100, full lug, stainless steel with adjustable sights.

What's the draw for a short barreled, adjustable sighted revolver?

"Draw" like in "draw a crowd" or draw in the literal gun parlance of drawing from a holster?

Draw as in to sell to people, myself, I just like adjustable sight revolvers, short or long barrel. When I'm working up various different loads and settle on one I really like, I can then adjust the sights to have POA equal POI or set up a POI different than the POA for shooting different types of competitions. Others like adjustable sight short barreled handguns for any variety of reasons

Draw as in drawing from a holster, I haven't had any problems but I typically don't carry this big (physical size and bulk) of a revolver inside the waist band, I use a good hip holster, and haven't had any problems presenting it when needed. Even when wearing an over garment, I haven't had any major problems drawing when needed.

All that said, I also have fixed sight revolvers and I carry specific loads for the different ones I carry. I also have both fixed sight and adjustable sight semi-autos.

Fixed sight and adjustable sight firearms all have there place in the scheme of things. What I carry or use, for me, depends on the situation.

As for this particular 3 inch adjustable, I had to get it to have the 4 piece set of them :D

.........and the "draw" just may be there are not a lot of them out there, seems to be pretty scarce, first one I had ever seen, let alone, let alone be able to actually buy, and , like Ron said above, "to put a set of them together"..............
three inch revolvers just seem to be the "cats meow" wether an S&W, and Colt or now , the Ruger.
Some models of 3 inch guns have gone through the roof in value.............
