Should probably take steel shot from the factory in Imp Cyl and Mod choke tubes, maybe not the Full. If in doubt, Carlson's makes tubes that fit the CZs which are good for steel shot w/ the same choke degree caveat. They say Beretta/Benelli thread interchanges for 12 ga, Huglu thread interchanges w/ 20. Others may already offer steel approved tubes, or probably will soon.

They are fine guns, a bargain really, but I do want 2 triggers in my SxS's. My favorite upland gun is this BRNO (pre-CZ) sidelock 16 bore.

Nice!

CZ does have a double trigger model, too, the less expensive Bobwhite. Straight (English) stock like your BRNO, but it's a boxlock. Actually, the Ringneck's a boxlock, too, according to the website description, but w/decorative sideplates to look like sidelocks. Tim, is that correct?

I ave a Ringneck in 16 ga - the purists' Ringneck gauge - and it had downed many birds over my setters. Beautiful metal and walnut without custom money.

I also have a Bobwhite in 20 ga, it is sooo light and carries all day... CZ SxS guns are jewels for the money. Some of the best Huglu work imported over the last ten years or so.

I found this SKB Ithaca 100 on line for a good price. 30 inch 12 gauge. When I got it, I discovered that it was cylinder bore at 30 inches! Okay with me, I wanted it for Cowboy shooting. I had my local shotgun Iatolah cut the barrels to 24 inches, install a nice new pad, an ivory bead, and I believe take the springs out so it went from ejector to extractor. These have a crappy plastic grip cap so I installed a steel grip cap and cold blued it. Now the hard part. I removed all the tough plastic SKB stock and forend finish. Jeez what a job. Finally got it off, stained the stock and finished with a hand rubbed Plinkington oil finish. Nice Cowboy or upland gun. Kicked a bit. heh.
