Customized Scout .223

Customized Scout .223 with a laminated M1 rifle handguard, flash hider, NEGC rear sight, AI poly magazine and lastly an Israeli army sling!

Fast becoming my favorite centerfire rifle.

I couldn't get sufficient left windage with the stock Ruger sight to center the group at 100 yards so I put on the NEGC sight. Plenty of windage and easily adjustable.

The AI magazines (2 each) came from Pacific Tool. My next purchase will be their aluminum trigger guard/magazine assembly.

Is the factory trigger guard nylon/polymer? :roll:

Looks nice, I like the wood hand guard very much...nice job!

I'd like to take credit for the handguard work but someone else did that and did a nice job on it. The TG is polymer and my next upgrade is to a PTG machined aluminum TG assembly.

I wish I had known about the PTG .223 Polymer Magazines before spending nearly $80 on a second 10-round Accurate Mag from ShopRuger. That said, I also wish they made a 5-round version. Accurate Mag does and I bought one but they cost the same as their 10-rounder.
