I recently found one of the New Vaquero's with the bhg and a 3.5" barrel in 45 ACP. I was quite excited about it until I shot it. It shot to the left by half a foot and quite low at 15 yards. I tested with several loads and the results were similar each time. I called Ruger customer service and explained the problem. While still on the phone, Ruger emailed me a UPS shipping label.
After about two weeks, the gun returned yesterday. The work listed on the ticket included, re-indexing the barrel, replacing the front sight, and replacing the cylinder. After that, it was range tested with the ammo I normally use. They even included the test target.
While I haven't shot it yet, I have no doubt it will be better than it was when I bought it.
I have to say kudo's to Ruger customer service!
