I have a Super Blackhawk and was wondering if anyone could tell me who I can send it to to have it made to look like this gun listed on gunbroker. I asked the seller who did the work and the gun was done before he got it. Here is the link:: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=477048488

Maybe I would be better off selling my current gun and buying this one that is all done... if it does not get out my price range. Why do they make Ruger's that look so nice and why do I dream of them? I got a real problem on my hands....

Any of the good gunsmiths can do that work. I didn't see anything too hard to do. Save that post, with all the pics, and if you don't win the auction, use it to get yours converted. But,,, the $$$ you spend doing so will be as much if not more than just buying that one outright. I'll bet it doesn't top $600.

I agree completely with contender. Just buy that gun and sell yours.

Least expensive way: get the steel Grip frame and ejector rod on your gun bead blasted, and get your barrel cut by a local gunsmith and re-blued.

Or you can buy a regular production 5 1/2" SBH (it'll have a fluted cyl) new or used and have the parts on the gun bead blasted.

To send you gun off

Thanks for the info guys. Makes sense to buy one all ready done. If it does $600.00 or so I will own it. I purchased a couple guns from this guy last year and he was easy to deal with. The other issue that I will have is parting with my current SB .44 mag. It shoots so well and it was one of my 1st Ruger revolvers when I started parting with my S&W's for Ruger guns. Guess I can have more then one SB's in my gun safe! Thanks for your input, Tom

Ok, now we are talking. Buy the custom one, KEEP the current one. You say it's ok to have more than one SBH in the safe? Heck, my place must be a frat party because there are several in my safe. :D
Seriously, if you can swing it, just buy the one off GB, and you'll be $$ & time ahead.
