Here is a pair of original .357's that were converted to .44 Specials. The frames are still marked .357. The topstraps have been custom made to look like a Vaquero or Colt... I purchased these guns along with other OM Rugers from a gunshop in Reno, NV. I'm unsure of the name of the gunsmith but was told by the gunshop owner that it was a local fellow. The shop owner could not recall the fellows name and he believed he was now deceased. I have not shot these since purchasing. Folks, these are not Hamilton Bowen, Alan Harton or Clements quality. The barrels are not original Ruger marked. The other guns in the purchase is what I was really after. Nice pair of Cowboy guns or just a unique pair for shooting. One of the guns was originally a Flattop and the other is a non-prefix Old Model. Barrels are approximately 6" and both still retain the original actions. $1400 for the pair + actual shipping/insurance. Willing to split up if I have 2 buyers (they are not consecutive s/n's) - would entertain a payment plan if these don't sale right away. Would rather cash out as I have a couple shotguns I'm looking at.
