Gun has 3 3/4" barrel, stainless, action job trigger set at 3lbs, gold bar sight, free wheel pawl and round butt grip. Some states have a 4 inch minimum on barrel length for hunting, makes it slightly less appealing to not be able to carry it during the deer/elk seasons.

Piles of people don't use them to hunt with. They use them for back up. I can't imagine it's illegal to carry a gun that is not being used to hunt with. Even archers are allowed to carry a gun, that they aren't hunting with. This is a pretty handy gun to carry for back up or just woods walking due to it's weight. I have several 44 mags I could hunt with. BUT, for just woods walking I want a lighter weight gun. They are nice guns.
