Ok, I get why people carry IWB, but Crossbreed has just gotten way too gimmicky with this one. I wonder if it's WiFi enabled?

Just wondering with 3d printing and such if there is now a way to just make these kydex /plastic holsters when someone places an order.... just punch them out as needed and no inventory..... the only marketing point I can see for the one listed in the link is the Celtic Cross on the belt clips.

I've tried a couple kydex holsters. Never could get used to that scrapping rattling sound when drawing or holstering. Hurts my ears like fingernails on a chalkboard. Leather makes a nice comforting sound.

How the heck did spell check change Kydex to Lifecycle? Let’s try this again. Kydex has two advantages. First it's inexpensive (though you wouldn't know it based on the prices some folks charge). Second it's durable (as long as it isn't left in a car on a hot summer day).
Other than that natural products are far superior.

Like a lot of things these days, younger folks flock to them because the media (social and entertainment) have convinced them certain things are desirable.

I don't see what all the fuss is about, personally. It's a versatile design that probably saves the manufacturer (and end user) some money, in the long run. Pretty? Um, no. If you don't like it, keep on scrolling. I much prefer leather holsters for 95% of applications, but Kydex is certainly convenient sometimes - and they're scarcely 'new.'

Been carrying on duty, off duty and retired for fifty plus years. They'll get my leather holster when it's pried from my cold dead hip. And it will most likely be a DeSantis thumb break made for a DAO J frame. Yeah, I'm a geezer.

Maybe I missed it, but it doesn't have an adjustable cant? I like my Vedder IWB holsters and a forward cant is a priority for me.

Another observation, if you carry a gun 40 or more hours a week for 2 or 3 decades the area where you carry is going to get really sore from the constant pull of the weight. One reason as cops get older their guns get smaller and lighter with a whole lot less tacticool stuff screwed on.

The thought of a ambidextrous plastic holster means you have a lot of firm lumpy protrusions sticking you in that real carry, sore area.

For what it's worth... when taking or instructing a class I'll use a Kydex type holster specific for what ever handgun I'm using at that time... but for everyday life.... it is leather for me. I'm one of those old geezers too... and not some new pristine leather but old worn and well oiled.

If you own a Ruger don't worry about it. That is one manufacturer that is not listed for that 'whatever'.
