Crosman Leaving NY State

The Crosman Air Gun company is leaving their East Bloomfield NY facility by the end of 2024 according to several news stories that I have seen today. This leaves about 100 people out of work in the manufacturing plant.

Even air gun companies don't want to do business in NY....

The people in power don't care. They cater to the woke crowd,, and WANT companies like that to leave. Sadly,,, unless it takes MILLIONS of dollars out of THEIR tax budget,, they won't even notice.

You are absolutely correct Contender.......NYS politicians want anything related to the evil firearms trade to leave the state. IIRC, the previous governor said that specifically (before he was sued for sexual harassment(s) and forced to leave office). The current politicians have plenty of money now that they have legalized drug use here in NYS. It seems that they believe guns are more evil and dangerous than drugs... !!!

I think you're 100% right. Not only here, but on other forums we all should be aware of our verbiage, but I think there's a difference between matter of fact comments and nasty.

That's the way in Western North Carolina too! In my county there is not a square inch of agricultural land that is not in danger of turning into multifamily dwellings. I understand that along the interstate highways Muslim/Saudi money is building empty industrial/warehouse buildings. In my county, two have been built that can't be occupied because there isn't a water source available. Woops!

When IBM shutdown operations for the PC company in Florida I was offered a job in Raleigh. A lovely lady realtor took us around to see properties with acreage for two days and since several associates had moved to Cary I asked her to show us homes there.

She told me (paraphrased) "You're nice folks who would like some room and acreage, Cary isn't your sort of place to live"

I asked why not? and she replied... "we locals call Cary a Containment Area for Relocated Yankees" and you do NOT want to live there, trust me!

Yep, the out of the State, and Foreign Speculators, who bought up property that no wanted by inheritors of estates. These inheritors sold unwanted property to the local attorneys, the local attorneys sold their "investments" at considerable profit to the speculators. The end result is folks coming into the County who want to "improve" their lot by adopting "zoning" and liberalism to make the local counties "like it was back home up Nauth". Oh, I forgot the County Commissioners and City Counsel are in cahoots with the speculators due to bribes and perks that allow un-restrictive growth, even though the local infrastructure won't support it.
