I started this project a few months back, finally completed it. Started out as a Beretta/Uberti. I cut the barrel, crowned it and replaced the sight. The ejector rod and housing removed and the hole ground down and contoured to the frame. Cut the hammer spur and replaced with a S&W K frame target spur, did a little antiquing, browned it, fitted a set of Buffalo Bros. grips and did some action work. Had a friend at a local Jewelers do a little engraving and this is what I came up with. This knife was also made by me, Walnut and Moose horn for the handles.

Thanks for looking,

Hello friend and Brother!!! Very nice work, and a sweet setup!

I really decided to post after seeing your cowboy name! My wife is a diabetic told it what it said and she thought it was cute-she says to tell you thank for shooting for her! She has been type 1 since 1976.

That's pretty nice...love 'dem grips!

I bet the smaller Ruger Bearcat would be a great candidate for something like that...although I might like about one more inch of length on the barrel.

Great gun Marshal, I like it. Them shorty 45's are alot of fun. Whats the barrel length on that gun? I have a SAA with a 2" barrel and it looks longer than yours. By the way how is your son enjoying that S&W?

Rep1954,

From the forcing cone to tip is 1-7/8" about 1" exposed.

As far as the S&W goes, he likes it well enough that I can't get it back and in my opinion that is too much.

I love to see guns custom made into just what their owner wants them to be. You've done a wonderful job there! Good for you!

All 3 of those guns are pretty sweet. Marshal, I also like your custom knife. Makes me want to build one on a New Vaquero frame with birds head grip.
