This is what the Chevy Cavalier is up against?!?!

I think we have been caught with our trousers down..........

I always loved my '57 Mercury Monterey two door Hard top with the optional transmission and the "Merc Marauder engine which was probably the same one that went into the "Turnpike Cruiser" but was supposedly the little Lincoln engine. It had it's fuel pump up on top in the front . Lots of power with a Gigantic four barrel carb that couldn't pass a gas station. Use to tow my boat trailer behind it and never know it was there.

Hey, neat thread. Let's see a bunch more pics...
Love that '58 Buick...
Here are a few I am familiar with....not all real old, but I think cool..

First: 1949 Chevy with Olds engine etc. Took me 3 years to build. Recently sold.

That ain't no '65 Buick Special. I know--I drove one in high school and would love to find another.

It's a '56, I suspect.....

Still some nice brochures to check out in the original link. Wish we could still buy them new.....

Wow! This is a neat old thread. Sometimes I like to go back and read old threads here on the forum. It's interesting.

I signed up for the daily email from http://www.bringatrailer.com Every morning around 7am I get an email from them with the day's offerings. It's nice to dream. Today there is a '63 Aston Martin for a cool $325,000. I like Bring A Trailer for the pictures. They are usually really high quality. Much better than Ebay Motors.

This is the one car I wish I still had. I still have dreams of driving it after all these years. I bought one like it, except it was light green, in 1961 for $750.00 and it had 35K on it. Wife and I drove it on our 1963 honeymoon from Ohio to Miami FL. then to Texas. Traded it in on a new 1964 Ford 390 Galaxy 500. Was allowed $300 on trade :(

My first car a 1953 Ford Victoria which I bought in 1959 for $595.00.

A '53 Ford Victoria was my very first car. It had a 312 out of a '57 T-Bird and three on the tree with overdrive. Paid $110.00 for it and Mom had to sign the bill of sale because I wan't old enough. Didn't even have a driver's license yet. Straight as an arrow. Mint green with white top.

My first car was a 1928 Dodge I traded my 1/4 midget for when I was in 8th grade. My first new car was a 1970 Road Runner. I've had 150+ cars and now you've got me downloading brochures of all the ones I remember.

Mine was the same color as yours. I did add full length Lake Pipes, 55 Olds tail lights, 56 Olds flipper hub caps, fender skirts and lowered it 3 " It was "Flawless" with 30K when I bought it. I had to sell it when I went into the USAF
In 1982 I bought a 54 Vic the same color with 35K and perfect. Just to bring back old memories and it did. I was the second owner. The BIG problem was I couldn't tell Wifie all of the Memories :D :D

That's my favorite body style. I had a '52 Mainline that got turned into a B/Gas racer. (Built 390, BW 4 speed, 4:56 gears out of a 3/4 ton pickup). I just sold my '54 Crestline three years ago. I bought it in '73 for $125.00 and drove it through every state west of Iowa. It was my daily driver for over twenty years. It had a touch over three hundred thousand on it, and still purred like a kitten. It still had the original 239 OHV and Fordomatic in it. Sure would like to find another '54 like yours. (And the $$ to pay for it. )
