I like to ask which of the above conversion cylinders to purchase I have a mint R.O.A. in mint condition and was thinking in trying a different set up loading cowboy 45 L.C. ammo but can I use smokeless instead of B.P.?
I also would like to ask do I need to buy any other items if I go with the conversion cylinder so it will work in the ruger old army.
I have shot it with triple 777 shoots outstanding also with real B.P.

I love mine (so much, I made it a pair.

I have a Belt Mountain base pin. However, it took forever and I don't know if they are still in business (I got a lot of conflicting stories when I ordered mine). I understand cowboy level loads are OK (smokeless).

I had the Kirst, it does not allow you to place the hammer down between loaded cylinders - thus you have to load only 5 rounds if you carry the gun. I would not recommend it.

They ARE still in business. I received one for a Bearcat on Friday 13th.
