Ah yes, "self satisfaction accompanied by unawareness of any danger"

There I was, I had a bead on that little digging, bastaged, armadillo, clean shot. Bang goes my trusty 10/22 that I never clean anymore, I know I hit it. Second shot click...well wouldn't you know if, my BX 25 mag was on empty. A bee line to the other two, well I'll be, they have no 22lr bullets loaded up either.

Living out here in the now semi country, getting more and more comfy as the years go by. Am I slipping into the twilight zone ?? There's a number of my magazines in 5 calibers that are empty, I got more than enough to load them. Well what am I doing, all 4 of my LP tanks are empty. Wife is telling me if I don't stop spending money I'm gonna run out...Hey that's the plan is it not. Both SUV and truck are completely out of gas. I think I'm now down to 11 things left on my to do list.

I gotta get myself together, put my rhino skin on in the morning and get my old ass moving. Do any of you find yourselves in the same notion ??

It's fugitis... You ask yourself what the fug you thinking. I am sitting here in the control room with a plant full of machinery with every single one making heat and ask myself why I am here. Some nights it's hard to get motivated and with the heat in here tonight I will be glad to go home. Fortunately there have been few calls so I am pleased.

Sometimes it seems like all i do is go around repairing busted or worn out items of every type. Today was bathroom sink and sliding glass doors day.

Complacent, no. Capable, sometime yes, sometimes no. My kknees and balance have ended running for me. Well, if Godzilla was behind me I'd give it one heck of a try. But The things JP mentioned I kep up on. I'm in a suburban area. Generally quite area with little crime and that is petty but irritating.

That said, my firearms are clean, sighted in and my magazines are filled. I'm also, for now, caught up on reloading. But the youngest is coming down next month so that won't last.

I quit worrying about it. My armadillos, 'coons, & possum's all know what time I go to bed, and when I get up, so they don't come around when I'm awake. Maybe one of these days I'll get some thermals, stay up late and surprise them. :devilish: Other stuff is on a a round toit schedule. Got nobody to please but me.

I've got a bunch of reserve magazines empty but the ones for HD/Carry have a few ready to go. Springs need a break sometime. I have a few years before the Grands will try and wear out the 22's like their parents did.

I seem to be completely "on top" of things......... But, then again, I haven't really checked lately...
