Try this. BORN in 2010. The time between 2010 and 2018 is eight years not 18. Does that help you?

I was not even paying attention to the math... the bad grammar is what got me.

"is now 18 years." Year's what? I would have written "18 Years old"
but then it depends on what month they were born and what month it is now.
