Colt replicas

For whatever reason, I've taken very few pics of my percussion guns and cartridge conversions. Got a new sixgun for my birthday and decided it was time for a family photo of my topless Colt replicas. Notably absent is my Cimarron 1871-1872 Open Top, which is at the engraver as we speak. Everybody else is present and accounted-for. Now I need some Remingtons.

Clockwise from top center: Uberti 1849 Pocket .31, Pietta 1860 "Sheriff" .44, Pietta 1851 London .36, Pietta 1851 .44, Uberti 3rd Dragoon with Kirst gated conversion .45Colt, Pietta 1860 Army .44 and Cimarron 1860 Richards Type II .44Colt.

The Dragoon dwarfs the 1849.

Pietta Navy London model. This is a late model Pietta and these are really nice sixguns.

The 1849 was a gift from my wife last Christmas.

This beautiful Pietta 1851 .44 was a gift from my wife for my birthday yesterday

Nice collection you have there. I have Pietta 51 Navy and a Pietta 58 Remington. Both are very nice and shoot pretty darn good too.

Those are some gorgous sixguns! I absolutely love the lines of these guns! I have a few BP pistols and i love shooting them, i just don't enjoy the cleaning! I should probably break down and buy some of the conversion guns. Great looking collection! Are those all factory finishes? They sure photograph well!

Not that much as of late. I got three of those inthe last 8months and have only shot one of them. Shameful. I did stock up on Goex my last trip to DGW and have a new Pedersoli Rocky Mountain Hawken to test before hunting season.

Are those all factory finishes?

Yep! The 1860's are older Pietta's and as such, they're finished a little rough but look good from a distance. The 1851's are newer Pietta's and these are really nicely done sixguns. They've made huge strides in improving their guns and it really shows. The Uberti Dragoon is a particularly good example and the 1849 is pretty good. My Open Top 'had' some really nice case colors for a replica but by now, it's all been scratched up and polished away. It will be done in full carbona blue.

I never would've bought something like that for myself but the "Marshall" model was out of stock. My wife picked that one as a substitute and was worried I wouldn't like it. After getting it in hand, I actually really do. Seriously.
