A dear friend of mine gave me this Coleman lantern that looked like it had been half-submerged for a year or so. Completely rusted, the valve and orifice cleaner were frozen.
I noticed this crusty (1957) Remington 20 ga. Wingmaster at my LGS, crud on the pistol grip so thick you couldn't see grain. Just traces of blueing on the receiver. But no dings, scratches, or rust.
The lantern went to Wichita, KS and came back 'in the white.'
I pulled the stock and scraped it with a plane blade, then ~8 coats of linseed oil.
The shotgun and lantern fount went to Troy Simms in Burnet, Texas.
"Napa Green" cerakote.
Yeah, that's a Cutt's Compensator with and adjustable choke. I wanted to shorten the barrel but can't find anybody that know how to install Cutts Compensators. If you do drop me a line.
