CLP & stainless ?

Is clp safe to use as protectant on stainless ?

I used CLP for the first time today, it did not harm the stainless on my P-95 but it did cause damage to grip and polymer frame, not sure of the proper term but the shiny black plastic is now cloudy. Can this be fixed or am I stuck with it.
