I have a mark 3 hunter. If I remove the grips, can I spray a can of 2+2 berkebele (carburetor cleaner) on the entire gun to clean it? I know it dissolves all types of grime and dirt.

absolutely, and use a small "pic" or Q-tips to get in the corners, nooks and crevices, follow up with a good flushing out, then we spray them out with any spray ,lube, blow out any and all the excess, and then lightly oil in the spots that need it ( do try and keep oil ,lubes, out of the chamber when you are finished).........as for the outer finish, a light wiping down with a 3M Scotchbrite pad can take away marks, nicks ,scratches ( mars) etc, and give the gun its original satin lustre...............if you like shiny then go at it with any semichrome, Flitz or lastly Mothers Billett polish, and use a microfiber clothe, then it will look like a nickel plated gun, all bright , and shiny and easy to maintain...this is all the GOOD things about any firearm with a stainless construction.....and you can change the "finish" whenever you like

Once a year I break down my "BLUED" MK III 22/45 and spray it with carb cleaner and it don't hurt it a bit, stainless steel is way more tougher then bluing ... Carb Cleaner is a great way to get at all the internals, then I personally like to use Rem-oil to lube up the internals because it's a thin light oil, I've been doing it that way on all sorts of guns for years with ZERO problems.

((( don't let the carb cleaner get on any wood as it will more then likely pull the finish off )))

For blending the stainless steel finish on Ruger Mark pistols, I've found that the Scotch-Brite pads, found in most all local grocery stores, work very well. I use these to blend the surface on bolts to remove the "scuff" marks bolts receive during the cycling process. The cost won't break the bank either.

As far as an all-around Cleaner, Lubricant and Protectant (CLP) I've gone completely over to EEZOX. Experimenting with treating the Ruger Mark .22 rimfire bores with EEZOX, I have found that the bores stay cleaner longer and are less likely to accumulate gunk and the other crapola involved with .22 rimfire ammunition.
