I was hunting on 10,000 acres of great antelope country and some of the bucks were very large. The weather was wet and I was sick the first few days so I decided that I would hunt with a black powder cartridge rifle rifle and just have fun rather than try to shoot a giant in the limited time remaining with my trusty Ruger .250-3000 Savage. This is just an average herd in classic antelope habitat. Dr.C

Notice how wonderful the grass is , almost belly deep to those antelope, gotta love that in this country. The antelope are washed squeaky clean by the recent rains. Dr.C

caryc: no problem to get within 50 yards of these. Most of the antelope in this part of the country have rarely seen or been bothered by people and are simply not afraid. Dr.C
