220 Swift. I found a classic 1980 model M-77 26" heavy bbl rifle.I have always wanted one but could never quite come up with one in excellent condition. This one is REALLY nice. It has a TASCO World Class 8x24 Target scope with AO in Ruger bases.I even got 2 boxes of Federal ammo.
I have rounded up dies and 200 WW cases. Now I need to get the weather turned around for some range time.. This rifle is a real classic and a I think a FINE addition to my 11 other Ruger's in the collection. :D
Anyone else on the forum have one in 220 Swift ? What loads shoot well for you ?

I don't shoot a .220 Swift, but do have M77's in "06 and others cals. Looks like you found a nice one. All the extra's are a real plus too. Good shooting.

I have a couple. One is a flatbolt 77V, and the other is a Liberty 77V.

I shoot either a max load of W760 with Rem 50PLHP, or a max load of 2700 with the same bullet. Each one likes one load better than the other, but both will shoot MOA or better with both loads.

I have the light barreled 24" 'R" version and a #1 "V" in Swift. I'll have to look out in the shop to get you the load data. I know off hand it's IMR4831 and a 50 grain bullet. I will get back to you.
