Sooo, we're at the RF meet and I brought my SR1911CMD that I bought in early Jan. for under $608 + tax when I thought I was buying an SR1911 
I was talking with a few friends about the aprox. amount of $ I've spent in the last year on guns, not including a nice safe. I said I was swearing off gun shows for awhile but had an SR1911 on order from a local dist. for $579.95 + tax. I said I couldn't see paying even that much for 3/4" more barrel when I liked the CMD so much.
Anyway, my cell rings on the 1,100 mile trip back home. I rarely answer it if I don't recognize the #. It was the dist. telling me that they just got in 2 SR's and I'm #1 because I placed my order last Oct. I balked and then weakness kicked in :wink: So, I stopped by right before I got home and took home a new friend with me. If they'd have gone up even $50 I wouldn't have bought it.
I'm sick I tell you, sick. The front sight is dead center and there's absolutely no play in the slide to frame fit. Thanks to Ruger Randy who sent me a PM last Oct. telling me that there was a GTDistributors near me and that I ought to order one from them at the LEO price. Thumbs up to GTD for not forgeting about me after all these months!
So with my no new guns for awhile thing, I'm reminded of the scene in one of The Naked Guns movie series where the bad guy gets on stage and said something like: "Do as I say and nobody gets hurt!" as he fires a shot above him. A body falls from the rafters and he says: "Ok, from now on..." :lol:
I'd rather be lucky than good, and I've been lucky scoring both SR1911's and very low prices. No pics as mine looks just like yours :wink:
