40 s&w conversion barrel?

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here, but I figured this would be the best place to ask…
Has anyone successfully converted a 10mm SR1911 to .40?
I know there are folks who just shoot .40 in their 10mm barrels but I just can’t bring myself to do that. I would assume if one could find an appropriate barrel, springs would have to be changed, but other than that, mags should be OK? (Just an assumption on my part.)

Here’s my 10mm in its current configuration… I’m quite happy with it. It’s my EDC now that I’ve gotten rid of all of my P320 variants. (Not do much because I don’t trust them but most, if not all, of the ranges around here are jumping on the ban hammer bandwagon, so I can no longer shoot them.

Yes. A barrel and recoil spring. Before I went and bought a bunch of .40 magazines, I’d try the 10mm ones. May surprise you just how well they work.

I’d worry about the extractor hook. I had to replace one for a guy shooting .45 GAP in a .45 ACP. May have been other factors involved, I don’t know. But the center of the extractor hook broke out and the only I could figure was that it was all that was controlling headspace.
