I'm a .44 Magnum fan, though do like .357s and .45s. I've no use for anything so big that I can't pull it from my holster and fire off a shot one-handed. I like blue and case hardened, walnut and rosewood. And single action hammer spurs.

Now some folks like battle ship gray or flourscent orange finishes on their Super Redhawk .600 Nitro Express. And some folks prefer pistols that hold their cartridges in metal magazines.

That being said, poke good natured fun at those who don't see things in the same light as you do. But Gentlemen, and Ladies, let's keep the bantering in good spirits. Let's keep the acid remarks and snide comments away from this forum. Division is the last thing we need in our circle.

IS this when we all hold hands and sing?????? LOL!!!

What brought that about? Something specific, of just a glass of warm milk and a Tollhouse cookie?

Having read some rather acid remarks lately on this forum.

It's just typed words after all...I don't take it personally and for those who do, well that's not something you or I can control. Spirited discussion and opinions are what make this world great. I do get your point on the civility of it but you also can't dictate folks attitudes, you CAN ignore it and not react to such. I choose the latter (most times  ).

"Acid" and "holding hands and singing"... hmmm, what times does Hendrix play. :D

well said, but as I tell folks, you are NEVER going to make ALL the folks happy, nor see your way of thinking (feeling/liking...) good old Mr Ford thought we ALL needed 'black' cars only....oh well, trouble is we all have our likes and all have our opinion, some make theirs and the folks either take it wrong, or gang up on the 'naysayer', thats where much of it occurs.......the problem with typewritten response is the "feeling & thought " behind it, does NOT come out, or comes out 'wrong' and it gets into a 'pi$$ing contest'........nice thing about this forum over the majority of the others, in the end we all get back together, no harm, no foul.YES, always "think" before you hit that send button, or if you "feel" uncomfortable" make NO comment at all, we pass on MUCH of the chit -chat that goes on on a daily basis................

Bob you are right. I am a gun nut and love them all from bottom feeders up. I am a big gun nut but have all different sizes from 17hmr up to 45-70 in handguns. And yes I own 6 44 magnums in the mix from single actions to double actions. A lot of people think that if others don't think their way they are wrong. There really is really no wrong just different people's ideal's. Heck I even have a stack barreled revolver derringer I bet noone else has ever seen.

Ain't having favorites fun? I have some .44 Magnum's (DA and SA), some .357 Magnums (DA and SA), and some .45 Colt New Model Blackhawks.

My favorite caliber is .357 Magnum; but my favorite shooter is my 4-5/8" New Model Blackhawk .45 Colt. Go figure.
