Carrying the SR9

I carried my SR9 all day yesterday. I was rather astonished how comfortable the full size SR9 is.

I'm partial to carrying full size but have found most of my full size pistols tortuous in comfort and "obvious" even under a 3X shirt.

My EDC is a glock 26. It works great but I miss the extra capacity of the full size. The width is barely acceptable for comfort.

I'm considerably more accurate with the SR9. The width is refreshingly small enough to drive the comfort level way up.

I drove around in a mustang for two hours. Comfort was still acceptable.

Walking around, sitting in restaurants, etc...the comfort was noticably better than my glock 26.

The concealability is a bit better than my full size glocks.

I used a carefully modified (trimmed leather around the mag release) Galco holster made for a G17.

After carrying all day, I consider the full size SR9 a superb back up or primary every-day-carry.

In short, this inexpensive SR9 continues to surprise and impress in every single way.

Thinking about trading to get another.

Thanks for reading

Reason I was so attracted to the sr9 is because I saw it as a full size edc which is my preference. Of course I ended up with a sr40 but I'm sure it is more comfortable them most full sizes in the edc role, especially when compared to .40 cal offerings...

I am seriously considering the SR40...However, I've wanted a lever action 30-30 for some time. Either way, I'm trading my Sig Pro for my next purchase.

I really can't emphasize how easy it is to carry the SR series.
