Due to the fine people of this Forum, I was able to re-create my first pistol combo from when I was just a kid in the '60's.

I have it hanging within reach of my computer and admire it every day.

Much thanks to all of you!

Excellent rig, Doc.

I still have my "TV cowboy" rig that looks very, very much like yours. It's a Hunter rig, with drop holster and belt like yours, but doesn't have the little "belt" around the holster.

My Single-Six is an RSS5X . . . couldn't find a 4-incher at the time.

Gotta love those days . . . wish the belt still fit me.

Thanks for sharing.

I think mine was probably a Hunter, too.

And the only SS they had at my local, Oshmans, sporting goods store was the 4 5/8".

I mowed yards, saved the $78, and had my dad "sign for me".

Shot THOUSANDS of rounds...one at a time.

Nothing but GREAT memories of my first handgun.

Nice package. :) Similar to one I had many years ago that I let slip through my fingers. :(

To heck with the Leather, I really like the gun and it's BOX!

Wow!

Thanks, I did too.

If anyone's keeping track, I had to give $600 for the gun and box.

The 1967 I bought had a 5 1/2" barrel and was in better condition than the shorter 1968, and I only gave $300 for it, but it wasn't like the one I had as a kid.

That just goes to show the power that "collectibles" have. I wanted it, and I was going to pay what it took to get one.

I love RSS's esp. the early ones :!: Glad you were able to get it :D I would keep it in the box--till I got ready to carry it :) JMHO Don't loose that box :)

Thanks, I'll do my best to hang on to the set.

And they'll be in my will. ;)
