A friend of mine gave this box to me. His father was a participant and volunteer at Camp Perry for many years. He recently passed away and my friend found several of these boxes in his dad's things. Pretty cool old box in great shape.

Some numbers written on the end of the box. Targeting data maybe?

Interesting box! Surprised that some of the Camp Perry Shooters haven't commented.
Wood appears to be Sycamore (?).
Neat piece from a bygone era!

Nice box. Drilling all those holes so everything lines up between the lid, bottom, and hinges is not the easiest thing to do. Whoever made it did a great job.

That is beautiful. PJ O'Hare sold a similar box back in the 1930's.

I always wanted one but they would sell for more than I wanted to pay. Then I found a gentleman in Springfield, Ohio that made them on a CNC mill ot of various woods. his website no longer appears to be active I am sorry to say.

Here is mine in Quartersawn Oak.
The center holds 2 of the old 50 round paper boxes. I currently have it filled with some early 1950's vintage Western ammo with nickel plated cases. - sorry, no photos.
