Cabela's Ad

Hey all,

Apologies if this is old news

I got a Cabela's ad on Sat and saw they had a blurb above the 10/22

"Last of the Ruger 10/22 stainless rifle!"

Is this true? If so, I just might have to put off the bearcat purchase and pick up a stainless.

My family owns a dozen 10/22s, but this is the first I have heard of the stainless "going away"

Is it just Cabela's advertising?

Maybe it's the last ones they have in stock.

A couple of stainless models are still on Rugers web site.

Well, its the last of the 18" barreled ones, Ruger still makes plenty of carbines and target models, but apparently the rifle is being changed somehow.

I wouldn't rush out and buy it, they will always be around and they are far from rare.

I also see that everything post 2008 is the plastic trigger assembly...hmmm

I will have to browse the ksl.com classifieds here in UT to find a stainless w/ aluminum.

Don't let the plastic scare ya'. It's worked fine on all my Remington Nylon guns for decades.
